Systems Engineer

The Systems Engineer is responsible for  implementing continuous software delivery, from development to production to maintenance.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:   

  • Responsibility would be to focus on deployment, configuration, monitoring, and metrics, freeing up the developer's time to develop the application.

  • Develops automated solutions for operational aspects such as on-call monitoring, performance, and capacity planning.

  • Collaborates with Development, Quality Assurance, and Technical Design teams to resolve issues and ensuring solutions are viable and consistent.

  • Establish DevOps processes, practices, and tools to empower and support Development & Quality Assurance teams in continuous deployment, continuous integration, and timely delivery with a service guarantee.

  • Monitors, review and  maintain application performance, capacity and availability, providing 3rd level of support for the resolution of application-related incidents and problems

  • Focuses on rapid service delivery through the adoption of agile, lean practices in the context of an integrated approach. 

  • Automates the monitoring of the health and performance of core services and overall application health.

  • Maintains high availability of production and non-production environments.

  • Identifies issues in the production phase and system and implements monitoring solutions to overcome those issues. 

  • Other job related activities that may be assigned from time to time.

JOB SPECIFICATIONS: 

  • Education –    At least graduate with a Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in IT or any related course.

  • Related Work Experience -  At least 2-3 years of experience in DevOps, Experience with Lean/Agile development methodologies.

  • Knowledge –  Understanding of and willingness to learn cloud (AWS) best practices, Passion for automation and documentation.

  • Skills –   DevOps, CI/CD, ActiveMO, Sonarqube, Fortify, Amazon Web Services(AWS).
