The IBM Maximo Technical Developer is responsible for the design, architecture, and development of advanced software solutions. Supports, implements, and maintains IBM Maximo Asset Management solution,  the asset life cycle including but not limited to inventory, contracts, purchasing, resources, work management, preventive maintenance, and security.

Job Description
  • Develops configuration designs, and technical specifications to meet customer needs.
  • Ensures the completeness of general programming and integration activities.
  • Participates in the design, coding, and testing of custom solutions.
  • Facilitates client through a requirement discovery process.
  • Creates prototype and document requirements.
  • Develops functional designs for customization, interfaces, and data loading.
  • Writes Functional Design Documents and Technical Design Documents for Maximo specifications.
  • Develops Maximo upgrade paths to deploy solutions using various technologies.
  • Maintains Asset Management:
    • Describe managing and creating failure codes
    • Describe managing and creating locations and location hierarchies
    • Describe set up and use of meters
    • Describe the use of warranty contracts for assets
    • Describe moving, modifying, and swapping assets
    • Describe using and applying Asset Templates
    • Identify asset relationships
    • Describe creating asset subassemblies and spare parts
  • Predictive and Preventive Maintenance
    • Describe the difference between rotating and non-rotating assets
    • Explain the use of Master PMs
    • Describe how to configure the various types of PMs
    • Identify using Routes
    • Describe how to generate and modify a PM forecast
    • Describe how Condition Monitoring can be configured to generate work orders
    • Describe time based and meter-based PMs
    • Apply job plan sequencing to PMs

Job Qualifications/Requirements
  • Education – At least graduate with a Bachelor’s Degree in IT, Computer Science, Engineering, or any related course.
  • Related Work Experience - At least 5-years of related experience in functional/technical background.
  • Knowledge –Understands IBM Maximo platform including its infrastructure and configurations.
    • Knows different workarounds or solutions to meet customer requirements either out-of-the-box or new configuration approach.
    • This individual will be expected to perform these tasks with limited assistance from peers, product documentation, and support resources.
  • Skills:
    • Must be able to customize user interfaces for both web and mobile browsers either adding new fields or reconfiguring the current look and feel.
    • Must be able to configure the system by setting new security restrictions or adding mandatory fields.
    • Must be able to remove or add new processes and develop new process flow based on customers’ new requirements.
    • Must be able to customize naming conventions or insert new labels
    • Must understand and have experience on integrations of Maximo to other software like Salesforce, SAP, etc.
    • Must be able to insert automation to Maximo system and improved the current process
