The Cloud Operations Specialist is responsible for providing support in designing, deploying, and overseeing the company and client’s cloud computing strategy. This includes but not limited to cloud adoption plans, cloud application design, and cloud management and monitoring.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Performs daily cloud monitoring, verifying the integrity, and availability of all assets and key processes. Reviews system and application logs, and verifying completion of scheduled jobs such as backups.
Configures and upgrades system software that supports infrastructure applications or Asset Management applications per project or operational needs.
Provides second-level support to queries and issues raised under incident management and request fulfillment process.
Responsible for provisioning and configuring cloud assets.
Troubleshoots cloud asset-related faults.
Ensures that service incident tickets are acknowledged, escalated, and resolved according to Service Level Agreement (SLA).
Supports the roll-out of new applications and evaluates new technology.
Performs periodic backup, performance tuning, resource, and cost optimization as part of maintenance. - Prepares reports and assures that information is readily available.
Oversees both Technical Support and Custodian in ensuring the smooth day-to-day operation of the team.
Other job-related activities that may be assigned from time to time.
Education – At least graduate with a Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in IT, Computer Science, Engineering or any related course.
Related Work Experience – At least 3-5 Years Experience with at least one cloud platform (GCP, AWS, Azure).
Experience in the following DevOps tools: OpenShift / ICP / Kubernetes, Docker.
Development experience, at least one of the following languages – Go / Python / Ruby / Java / Perl.
Experience with Ansible or other configuration management systems (Puppet) is an advantage.
Strong in Linux administration skills (RedHat / CentOS / Ubuntu).
Hands-on experience in high scale production environments.
Experience in troubleshooting problems and working with a team to resolve large scale issues
Knowledge – Knowledgeable in Enterprise-scale technical experience with cloud and hybrid infrastructures, architecture designs, migrations, and technology management required
Must have strong analytical skills, highly detailed and process-oriented
Must have strong communication and presentation skills in English and Filipino.
Must have strong business/client engagement skills.
Must be assertive, results-oriented, and able to multitask.
Must possess strong negotiation skills and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work with minimum supervision and able to provide guidance to new team members.
