Business Development Director


The Business Development Manager demonstrates the ability to identify and prioritize Key Strategic accounts.  He / she is able to filter and prioritize opportunities in his/her funnel and determine the ones that will most likely yield into actual sales. Hence should have a proven track record in reaching his/her target as BDO.   He is able to effectively do his/her task without help or prodding.    He / She is results oriented and is able to do market / industry research that can help him/her effectively formulate a clear strategy that will help him/her reach his personal target.  Already has solid experience (minimum 3 years) in assigned industry and should be well familiar with the sales best practices.

Job Description
  • Key Accounts Management
    • Demonstrate ability to grow relationships with Key accounts.
    • Forecast and capture current and future projects.
    • Develop comprehensive proposals to customers capturing the complete context of requirements and the required/appropriate technical solutions.
    • Deliver accurate and on time revenue processing and revenue collection efforts.
  • Business Development
    • Close deals without assistance at the fastest and most cost effective possible way.
    • Forecast and capture future prospects
    • Negotiate and give clients the best possible price to close the deal.
    • Responsible for providing the best possible solution and upselling / opening opportunities for other products and services.
  • Proactive Solutions Selling
    • Communicate and explain business impact of solution provided thoroughly to prospects and clients.
    • Directly support BD in moving opportunities to forward the sales stage.
    • Other Key Responsibilities
    • Make sure that dependencies across Business and Support teams are addressed to deliver client requirement while protecting the Company’s best interest. 
Job Qualifications/Requirements
  • Education –  Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management or equivalent; Master’s Degree is ideal
  • Related Experience – At least 3 years of experience in the field
  • Experience in working with senior management both internal and external
  • Must have experience of working in a corporate/business focused environment
  • Proven track record of successfully pitching for new business
  • Proven track record of increasing revenue through generation of leads and account management
  • Knowledge – Familiar with a variety of the field's concepts, practices, and procedures
  • Soft Skills:
    • Should have an excellent sense of business acumen
    • Excellent negotiation skills
    • Relies on extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.
